“My success is largely due to the unique relationship I share with my fans,” says Instagram Star AJ Applegate

Many people think that internet fame is all about building your image and monetization. However, one of the best ways to gain and keep popularity is to engage with your fans and target as many people as possible. Instagram star AJ Applegate takes the time to talk to her fans and get to know them as people.

Building relationships

AJ Applegate is extremely popular on Instagram, with 1.6 million followers. Her posts regularly get over 20,000 likes and plenty of comments. Even though she’s used to getting attention, AJ regularly reads these comments and engages with her followers. “My success is largely due to the unique relationship I share with my fans,” she said. “I provide them a service, and I’m always so flattered that they want to know more about me after watching my movies.” Applegate has also moved some of her social media fans over to her OnlyFans account. For $7.99 per month, fans can view her explicit photos and engage more with her. “OnlyFans was a great fit for me because it helped me figure out what fans are interested in helping me further my career. I have an exceptional relationship with my followers there.”

Diversification is key

AJ sells her own merch for her most devoted fans, too, which makes them feel like they’re part of the team. AJ’s merchandise has become incredibly popular and was completely sold out 48 hours after it was launched. As co-founder, she used her strong digital presence to propel the brand into the limelight. Clearly, her fan base loves her merchandise.

Grow with every experience

AJ Applegate entered the adult industry in 2012. “When I watched porn at a young age, I was impressed with these women so openly and beautifully expressing their sexualities,” she said. “Even then, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.” Since then, she has won many awards for her performances. “Getting recognized for my work is so important to me. In the end, it all boils down to engaging with your fans and building a unique bond with them.” It is precisely this mindset that helped me transition and grow as an Instagram star.


At the end of the day, AJ Applegate knows that she’s here because of her fans. She will do anything to show them how much she cares and continues to talk to them over Instagram, Twitter, and her OnlyFans account every week.
