Oleg Astakhov creates ripples of growth in the Ballroom dance industry by optimizing tech trends.

The award-winning professional Ballroom dancer and instructor from the US attained more recognition, launching his one-of-a-kind app, “Dance with Oleg.” 

Many talented beings working across different fields have gone ahead in creating a unique name for themselves in all that they have ever chosen to lay their hands on. Attaining massive success in one’s chosen industry is no cakewalk for anyone, but a few rare gems and professionals have done even that and have shown the world what it takes to reach the highest of the highs in an industry and have the edge over the others. A well-known Ballroom dance instructor launching his own app on a monthly subscription basis for teaching people the dance form from the comforts of their home was something no one saw coming, but it did happen due to the onset of the digital wave. Oleg Astakhov made this possible as a US-based top-notch award-winning professional Ballroom dancer and instructor.

  • Who really is Oleg Astakhov? This passionate being is a 1982-born Ukrainian talent who now resides in Los Angeles, California. He started his journey in Ballroom dancing as a child and participated in competitions, and won many Ukrainian National Titles in junior and youth divisions in the Latin American program.

 

  • Journey as a professional Ballroom dancer: Oleg Astakhov knew his purpose in life, which was to spread the magic of Ballroom dancing. Hence, in 2005, he moved to the US and competed as a professional Ballroom dancer, winning and becoming the finalist of prominent US dance competitions. This led him to turn his talents into his profession, and in 2007, he opened his first dance school, Ballroom Dancing LA, in Alhambra, California. In 2010, he opened Beverly Hills Dance Studio, working with top artists like Selina Gomez, Ariana Grande, and others. In 2019, he started ViBE dance studio in Beverly Hills and another one in 2020 as part of the world’s largest franchise Fred Astaire Dance Studio.

 

  • Optimizing tech trends in dance: This one-of-a-kind Ballroom dancer went ahead in optimizing digital mediums, and in 2021, he launched the world’s first monthly subscription learning platform, “Dance With Oleg” and in 2022, also launched the world’s first monthly subscription app called Dance with Oleg.

 

  • A viral Ballroom dance sensation: Oleg Astakhov turned heads and attained major recognition when his dance tutorials went viral, gaining millions of views. He became a popular Ballroom dance instructor across the country through his massive YouTube presence and his in-person classes. After the pandemic, he started taking online classes and decided to develop an app that could reach dance enthusiasts anywhere, anytime.
