Staying Beautiful With Kyle Treadwell

What’s your backstory?
My backstory is that I grew up in Maine, raised by my mother in a trailer in the woods without my father. Despite this, I had a strong desire to make a positive impact on the world and surround myself with like-minded individuals. During my college years, I started as an audio engineering student but eventually switched to studying Marketing. I then spent a decade in the music industry, where I worked on marketing campaigns for artists and managed several of them. If you’d like to learn more about my journey, you can check out my new book “Stay Beautiful: The Legacy of Kyle Treadwell” which will be released on February 15th 2023.
What made you decide to choose this career path?
The reason I chose my career path was due to my passion for music. I found that music had the power to bring me happiness and alleviate negative emotions and thoughts. Despite this, my experience in the music industry wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for when I fell in love with it. This led to the founding of “Stay Beautiful LLC”.
Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?
I have a funny story about a mistake I made when I was just starting out. I was working on a record with a high-end artist and I received a contract that I wasn’t happy with. I wanted to send it to my friend for a review, so I quickly composed an email with a headline like “This is some Bullsh*t” or something similar. Unfortunately, I accidentally replied directly to the artist and their lawyer. It was definitely not one of my proudest moments, but the funny thing is that we are still friends today and we still laugh about it. The lesson I learned from that experience is to never use “Reply All” in any email communication.
What do you think makes your company/personal brand stand out?
I believe what makes my company/personal brand stand out is the authenticity of my identity. “Stay Beautiful” is a true representation of who I am, and I think this is why people connect with it. I incorporate this message into everything I do, whether it’s my posts, my conversations, or my videos. It’s not just a catchphrase that I came up with to sell merchandise, like some influencers or creators might do. I’ve been saying “Stay Beautiful” since I was ten years old, and if you know me, you’ve heard me use it long before the company was even created.
