Taylor Travaglione, ONE Sotheby’s VP of Growth and Evolution, Doubles Down on Agent Community Resources as South Beach Market Grows

Taylor Travaglione is the VP of Growth and Evolution at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty who is reinvesting in his agent community and focusing on their agent experience (AX). Travaglione is keen on facilitating a world-class agent experience and community for the agents at ONE Sotheby’s. Travaglione knows that the best way for a real estate firm to consistently out-perform their competitors is to make sure their agents not only have the tools they need to succeed, but are also excited about working with the firm.
Travaglione is the best in the business when it comes to nurturing talent and reinvesting resources into an agent community precisely because he emphasizes communication and transparency. Travaglione knows it is easy for a real estate firm to fall asleep at the wheel since agents are not salaried. However, Travaglione has made it his personal mission to not fall into that trap and to differentiate ONE Sotheby’s from other firms by stepping up their agent resources.
Travaglione distinguishes his agent services with a simple concept, treating the agents as smart, small business owners. By focusing on agents as business owners, Travaglione is able to both empower them as well as nurture them. Due to the large agent community that ONE Sotheby’s has, over 1,000 agents in 22 offices, Travaglione knows that clear and concise communication makes all of the difference.
This is particularly true since the onset of COVID-19. Since the pandemic started, Travaglione has implemented daily updates and started “over-communicating” digitally in order to make up for the lack of in-person interaction. Just because Travaglione is increasing communication that does not mean he is micro-managing his agents. In fact, he is not doing that at all. Travaglione believes in smothering his agents with information and updates constantly without controlling their progress. He does not want to over-supervise, but he does want each agent to know that they have support and to feel acknowledged and appreciated for their business and commitment to the firm equally.
Of all the unforeseen implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, South Beach, and Southeast Florida in general, has emerged as one of the hottest global real estate options. In the past, many real estate buyers have considered South Beach as a vacation location. Now, buyers are recognizing South Beach as the all-encompassing city it is and are choosing it for their primary residence AND place of business. With new prospects flocking to re-locate in South Beach due to the weather, lifestyle, and business, ONE Sotheby’s agents are busier than ever. This, of course, means agent resources are more valuable than ever.
With a year and a half at ONE Sotheby’s under his belt, Travaglione is excited for what 2021 will bring. Travaglione is most proud of his ability to not simply attract top talent to ONE Sotheby’s, but mainly to retain this top talent, in all markets, and help them flourish. This is precisely what Travaglione plans to focus on in the upcoming year.
Despite ONE Sotheby’s already comprehensive agent services, Travaglione continues to do everything he can in order to provide the support his agents need to prosper as small business owners. Travaglione is committed to supporting each and every agent that has committed to and trusts the ONE Sotheby’s brand and leadership.
