TEDx Condado to be first TEDx hosted in Puerto Rico in over 4 years

On April 4th 2020 10 am to 5 pm there will be a TEDx held the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. This is a non-profit event.

The TEDx organizer Luis Jorge Rios spent the last two and half years finalizing the event, which is only weeks away.

Motivated by his time in the US Army overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan and seeing the effect that hurricane Maria had on the island and the economy he sought out to bring the brightest ideas from across the island and the world to bring them to the island.

Luis is also involved with the Disrupt Foundation which helps local public schools with Technology such as computers. The foundation is also working on developing the island first coding school Caribbean Institute of Technology.

There will be 20 speakers at this all day event one of them is, The founder of Disrupt Foundation and the Caribbean Institute of Technology. Anthony Delgado who is this years TEDx main speaker. Delgado is best known as the founder, and chief executive officer of The Disrupt Foundation, a social impact movement to grow Puerto Rico’s technology ecosystem and host of the semi-annual Disrupt Puerto Rico Conference. Delgado has also helped mentor thousands of students, all from his home in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
