The Closing Signing Service’s 2nd Anniversary is a Week-long Celebration of Family Triumph

The highlight of the celebration was a reveal of the amazing team that helps Melina Fuenmayor run The Closing Signing Service.

When Melina Fuenmayor quit her job in 2019 to become a full-time signing agent, she may not have imagined being where she is, but she had a plan. She was an agent for a few months and ditched that title for the best she could lay her hands on. That’s how Melina founded The Closing Signing Service, a Notary Agency.

Today, Fuenmayor heads a team of ten innovative and passionate professionals. Together, they form the much sought-after company she describes as “the middleman between title companies and notaries.” Title companies and real estate attorneys rely on The Closing Signing Service to close real estate transactions.

They oversee the entire operation, from hiring the right notaries to ensuring all documents are signed, notarized, scanned, and dropped off on time. Since 2020, The Closing Signing Service has completed thousands of closings for hundreds of clients. The company offers its services nationwide, facilitating successful and seamless closings.

I caught up with Fuenmayor in the middle of celebrating her company’s two-year anniversary. During the week-long event that runs through the first week of August 2022, Melina revealed on LinkedIn, the team that’s behind all this success.

One Family’s Story of Resilience and Triumph

Although Fuenmayor is the face of her company, behind her is a strong support system made up of family and close colleagues. In the formal introduction, Fuenmayor says, “I oversee the entire operation, do sales, marketing, and recruiting. I’m a specialist at putting fires out!”

Her husband runs the company when Fuenmayor is handling closings, visiting clients, and prospects, or participating in events. “He is in charge of paying our notaries, collecting payment from our clients, and reconciling the accounts,” Fuenmayor remarks. Her daughter is the company’s administrative assistant.

Building a Seven-figure Company in The Midst of Adversity

Fuenmayor came to the US in 2017. As a woman immigrant, things haven’t been easy. She had to work four jobs just to make ends meet and provide for her family. She started working as an Administrative Assistant and then a Paralegal at a law firm. At one point, she also had to work as a babysitter.

Then came the pandemic, but her company sailed through safely. She says, “I’m on top of everything. I had a vision of starting my own Signing Service. At first, I thought it would be easy, however, soon I realized it was challenging but I kept moving forward. With my family’s support, I’ve been able to build a reputable company that is offering superior customer service to our clientele and is having an invaluable business relationship with our notary partners.”

Melina’s Signing Service is Unique and Different

Fuenmayor says, “ I know what our notaries go through on a daily basis. I care for them, I support them, I’m fair to them and I train them.” She runs the Notary Business Guidance, which is a special program for certified and trained notary signing agents without experience.

“In the training, I teach how to get started in the business, which is the most difficult part. I share all the secrets and tips involved in the industry.” Fuenmayor explains.

She continues to say, “I explain what the different sources of business are, how a signing service works, and how to stand out from the rest of the notaries in their area.” Fuenmayor gives them tips before starting the business. “Tips before a signing, during a signing, and after the signing,” she says.

“In the training, we also go through a loan package. I tell the participants how I explain the loan documents, what are the mistakes they need to avoid making, how to execute a signing with a Power of Attorney, and in general, some tips that I provide as a signing service owner. The training lasts for about 4 or 5 hours, and the participants get answers to all the questions they have.”

The Closing Signing Service is a nationwide signing service that hires certified notaries, that take last-minute appointments, that has reasonable fees, can do Remote Online Notarization, and carries an Error & Omissions Insurance Policy of $3,000,000.

They have built a reputation as being a trustworthy, innovative, and highly communicative company that quickly solves problems and gets the job done.
