The Future is Female – MotivatedBabe Outline Their Favorite Motivational Hacks to Live Each Day as A BossBabe

A fempreneur’s day is hardly smooth sailing, to say the least. The wonderful thing about life is that it has a combination of rough patches to learn from and great highs to look back on. Some days though, it can be a bit harder to get sh** done. Dedicated to motivating women around the world to live as the best versions of themselves, creator of MotivatedBabe, Audrey Kandil, outlines her 5 favorite ways to stay motivated.

1. Do one hard thing first thing in the morning

The way you begin your morning sets the tone for your day. Starting your day by not looking at your phone or running through your to-do list is very hard in today’s day and age. Instead of checking your socials or emails as soon as you wake up, set yourself one hard thing to do each morning. It could be waking up before the sunrise, or jumping straight into a cold shower.

Doing something you may not want to do first is a victory, and this sets the tone ‘I can do anything today!’ Try to tie in your hard task for the morning with an easier one. For example, start your day by reading a few pages of a book or journaling the things you are grateful for, but do so whilst drinking 1 litre of water. Not only will you get half your recommended daily water intake for the day, but it allows you to create a mindful routine separate from your phone.

2. Select 3 things to get done for the day

Neverending to-do lists cause unnecessary stress and anxiety. Trying to get through so many tasks in one day not only brings about burnout down the track, but can result in producing work that you haven’t given your all to. Instead of trying to accomplish numerous tasks in one day, ask yourself what the 3 most important things to get done today are. Write them down in order of importance. Work through each of these tasks and check them off once you are done. If you still have energy and more time left in your day, add another task to the list and complete. Working in this way reduces the anxiety and apprehension we can feel over having to complete so many things. Setting yourself only three tasks for the day also reduces overwhelm and enables you to work on the set task with less distracting thoughts.

3. Learn to say no more often

As human beings we take on so much. As females and nurturers, we generally take on even more than our male counterparts. Learning to deliberately distinguish the few vital things in our lives from the trivial many. Learning to eliminate the non-essentials from both our personal and work lives enables us to have both clearer purpose and work-life balance.  Learning to say no to things that do not serve us enables us to prioritize our lives, rather than letting others do so for us.

4. Eat right and move your body.

How many times have you been caught out not moving from your desk for hours on end or not having time to prepare your food and grabbing something quick (and usually unhealthy) from the convenience store to eat before rushing to yet another meeting or class? Our mood plays a lot into our health. Moving our bodies helps release endorphins, making us feel happy by lowering our cortisol (primary stress hormone) levels. Taking a break every 45 minutes to an hour to walk or do star jumps for 5 minutes does so much more than we think. SImilarly implementing small changes like taking phone calls whilst walking helps us get more movement in our day.

Our moods are also improved by the types of food we eat. Certain foods affect our moods and taking the time each week to plan and prepare your snacks and meals ahead of time does wonders.

5. Draw inspiration and motivation

Sometimes our day-to-day life can get a little monotonous. Inserting little pops of inspiration and motivation can do wonders for both our conscious and subconscious minds. A great way to do this is to surround ourselves with things that reinforce positivity and our female fierceness. It could be a mug or phone case that has a quote you love, colourful stickers to place in your planner, or even a t-shirt that reinforces the fact that women can do anything. This is why I’ve created a specific range of clothing and accessories for motivated babes all around the world, to help them insert a little inspiration and motivation into their daily lives.

Another great way to add a little motivational boost to your day or week is to take a break from your usual routine and do something a bit different. It can simply be reading an inspiring book or watching a motivational movie, or taking an extended lunch in the park to ground yourself and refocus your mind. It could also be something a bit bigger, like taking that pottery class you always wanted to go to or learning to skateboard. The possibilities are endless! Get creative with ways to break up your routine and we guarantee that creativity will begin to seep into your work as well!

One thing is for sure, the future is female. Each day more and more women are showing the world what they can do, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be one of them. To shop for some inspiration, or to add more motivation to your every day, follow MotivatedBabe on Instagram here
