The Keys to Succeeding in Business, with Tranquil Store founder Alec De Layno Martin

Alec De Layno Martin (Astyle Alive) is the name on everybody’s lips when it comes to succeeding as entrepreneurs. Alec has successfully founded and ran multiple ventures in marketing, fashion, real estate, and finance in an entrepreneurial career spanning more than a decade. His latest start-up, Tranquil Store, is a premium quality CBD E-commerce company based in the US. De Layno has a lot of profound advice to share with the upcoming generation of entrepreneurs.

Don’t be afraid to take risks

De Layno defines himself as a risk-taker, a quality he gained from the most significant inspiration in his life- his father, mother, and older brother. His father was the first business icon he ever looked up to. He has modeled his own life after many of his old man’s ideals.

De Layno started his entrepreneurial journey right out of high school at the age of 18. His first company was a marketing and media agency that specialized in running promotions for club venues. Afterward, he pivoted into designing, selling branded t-shirts, and other stylish items. In 2017, he launched One Umbrella Enterprise, a real estate and construction company.

Each time Delayno pivoted into another business opportunity, he knew there was the possibility of failure yet. He did not allow this to deter him and instead doubled down on his efforts to succeed.

You don’t have to do everything by yourself

A significant factor contributing to the success of De Layno’s styling business was the massive support that he received from influencers in his community. He was able to get in touch with celebrities like the NBA superstar JR Smith, the late hip hop icon, Chinx Drugz, and many others who helped him take his business forward.

Many budding entrepreneurs make the mistake of thinking they have to go the long mile to succeed. You don’t need to rewrite the entire script. In many cases, you could spend years trying to do that and hardly make any progress. Use the connections within your network to propel yourself to success.

All you need is skills, hard work, and talent

You don’t need a long list of qualifications to achieve immeasurable success in business. In today’s society, college degrees are touted as impressive accomplishments. Students are encouraged to get into deep holes of debts and pits they will spend most of their adult life digging themselves out of.

Focus instead on what talents you are blessed with. Take the time to discover yourself, what you are good at, and what you have an incredibly deep passion for. Once you understand this, you then have to dedicate your time and resources to make it work. The road will be long, bumpy and windy, but it is always worth it for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Offer real value for real problems

The simple and often overlooked key to running a successful business is to provide solutions to problems that people have. For De Layno, the concept for Tranquil Store came from his struggles with rest and sleep.

“After years of trying ineffective sleep aids and prescription medications with undesired side effects, we came across CBD and gave it a try. After doing my research & talking with others around, I realized many people struggled with stress, anxiety, and depression daily. Tranquil Store was started to help ourselves, friends, and now the world. Our products are available around the globe for everyone like us.”

Tranquil Store has a wide array of products to cater to a wide variety of customers.

“I offer a wide variety of quality premium CBD products, from Gummies to healthy CBD booster drinks, different tinctures, topicals, and even lollipops, to name a few. I’ll be changing the market soon with a new product that I can’t speak on too much. It is a surprise.”

When you have it, give back

De Layno believes that every successful entrepreneur’s primary responsibility is to give back to the community that has supported you. He is heavily involved in several philanthropic efforts, contributing heavily to the relief efforts to combat COVID-19 in the US. A substantial part of Delayno’s income goes to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a medical facility for children battling cancer.
