A strong educational foundation
Coming to the United States at age 33 in March 1994, Dr. Jeudy landed in Brooklyn, NY, with a wife and a five-year-old child. Next, he earned a master’s degree from Walden University, and at the age of 58, he earned his Ph.D. in Health and Human Services from Walden University. His dissertation lured him to initiate The Long Island Bulldogs Elite Basketball Club, Inc., is a young organization founded the same year of his graduation in 2019. His organization’s mission
The Long Island Bulldogs Elite Basketball Club, Inc. (LIBEB) is a 501 c (3) community/charity-based organization providing extra-curricular activities to young children of the metropolitan area, including New York City, Long Island, and the Mid and Lower Hudson Valley in New York State. Bulldogs’ student-athletes participated in a live event at the Peach State basketball tournaments, where they played in front of Division I NCAA college coaches. In addition, they played in Atlanta and Augusta, GA, in Rocky Mountain, NC, Louisville, KY, Westford, MS, Mayhem, PA, and in many other local tournaments, all at the expense of Dr. Jeudy from small business loans and personal funds.
Obstacles he faced and overcame
Perfection is the killer of creativity, vitality, and accidental discoveries. There are so many instances of people fortuitously discovering things we use every day. If they had been so concerned with perfection, they might never have enjoyed the success of their mistakes. Learning from our mistakes is how we develop and grow throughout our lives. Therefore, “perfect” will never provide a straight shot to success. How can you stop going for perfection? Just as it may have taken years of practice to “perfect” a skill you have acquired, it takes practice to undo perfectionism!
