7 Facebook Ads Hacks for Successful Marketing Campaigns

Facebook is a powerful marketing tool for Facebook Ads campaigns. Facebook has been around since 2004 and now reaches 1.4 billion users each day with its multitude of features. Facebook Ads are no exception to Facebook’s power as they can be used to target your ideal customers, build brand awareness, generate leads and increase conversions on your website – all with just a few clicks! In this blog post we will discuss 7 Facebook Ads hacks that will help you achieve success in your Facebook advertising campaign:

Hack #1

Retarget Video Viewers with Facebook Ads

If Facebook doesn’t automatically bring your Facebook Ads campaign to a close, it might just be because Facebook is trying to tell you something. Facebook knows that video content is important for Facebook marketers and they want to help you achieve success with the ads videos you have created on Facebook. Retarget Video Viewers by clicking ‘Create Ad’ in Facebook’s right hand corner – this allows you to advertise directly from your page or profile so choose wisely as once an ad goes live it cannot be removed.

Facebook video ads are a great way to capture the attention of Facebook users by using Facebook’s powerful targeting options. Retargeting viewers is an effective Facebook Ads hack that can help you get more views for your Facebook videos and increase customer engagement with your brand. If Facebook users have watched a Facebook video of yours, you can target them again with Facebook Ads to increase the likelihood that they will watch your next Facebook videos as well. Retargeting Facebook video viewers is an excellent way to use those views and engagement from previous ads to get more views for future Facebook advertisements.

Hack #2

Inverted Unicorn ad Targeting Trick

Facebook users love Facebook’s advanced targeting options as they allow Facebook marketers to target their ideal customers with pinpoint accuracy. You can use Facebook Ads’ “Inverted Unicorn Ad Targeting Trick” to reach your audience on Facebook by using the most precise Facebook ads targeting option, which is known as Lookalike Audiences based upon Custom Audience and Website Traffic data.

In this strategy you take a custom audience of people who have engaged with your brand (liked a page, subscribed to an email list or downloaded an eBook) that has at least 100k members – then create another similar looking audience from that one using Facebook Ads Manager where all other factors are left untouched except for “Audience Match Type”. There is no better type of ad targeting than matching Facebook users with Facebook ads content that they are most likely to be interested in.

Hack #3

Create a Facebook Ad from an Ongoing Contest or Giveaway

Facebook users love Facebook contests and giveaways – they are an excellent way to build brand awareness, increase customer engagement with your page or profile on Facebook as well as generate new leads on Facebook.

You can also use Facebook Ads to promote your contest or giveaway by creating a Facebook ad using the ‘Promote Your Page’ option in Facebook’s right hand corner which will prompt you for information about what you want to promote (contest, website URL etc).

Hack #4

Don’t Forget About Facebook Page Likes

Facebook Page Likes are Facebook’s bread and butter as Facebook users can like any Facebook page they find interesting or entertaining.

Facebook marketers often forget to use Facebook Ads for promoting their Facebook pages on both desktop and mobile devices however there is a simple hack that allows you to do so. The trick here is simply creating a custom audience of your current fans who have not engaged with your brand in the past 30 days – then create an ad from this custom audience by clicking ‘Create Ad’ found under the right hand corner of Facebook.

 Hack #5

Include Emojis in Your Ad Copy

Facebook users love Facebook ads that are fun, creative and engaging.

You can create Facebook ads that stand out from the crowd by writing Facebook Ads with emojis in your ad copy. Facebook users are drawn to Facebook ads that can make them laugh, smile or even feel uncomfortable. Facebook Ads with emojis in the copy tend to receive significantly more Facebook likes and shares than other Facebook ads without emojis.

Hack #6

Utilise Testimonials

Facebook users love Facebook ads that can build trust and provide social proof.

You can increase the social proof of your Facebook ad by including credible testimonials from satisfied customers in your Facebook ads copy. This is an effective way to boost engagement with Facebook users as they tend to gravitate towards brands that have happy, loyal customers.

Hack #7

Align your Ad Design with your Branding

You can increase the engagement with your Facebook advertisement by designing it to align with your brand’s marketing collateral including website landing pages, email blasts or social media posts. This is an effective way to boost Facebook likes, shares and comments on your ad, ultimately leading towards more Facebook traffic being directed back to your site for conversions.
