Agne Svitinskaite: UK’s Cosmetic Industry Titan and Pioneer

Agne Svitinskaite Agnes Permanent

The concept of permanent makeup has existed for over a decade but faced opposition initially before any particular brand became prevalent enough to be considered a household name. One entrepreneur by the name of Agne Svitinskaite, the CEO of Agnes Permanent® brand and academy triumphed and became a top contender in the very competitive and ever-growing cosmetic industry.

Initially, makeup for Agne was nothing but a hobby, when she had attended her first permanent makeup course. Not long after, she relocated to London. In a short while, it became something she was intensely adept and passionate about — leading to a life-long pursuit of perfecting her craft. Jokingly in the beginning she recounts saying, “I even dreamed about it being my full-time job.” Nowadays, that dream came true.

Turning Persistence & Passion Into Profit

Agne in the initial years of her business worked relentlessly to earn the trust and respect of her clients, always going above and beyond to make sure she exceeded their expectations with her products. She did this with her extreme attention to detail which valued customer satisfaction and happiness above all else. Once business took off, Agne, in 2015 launched her first academy in London called Agnes Permanent.

Opening the academy was the step in her journey that truly changed everything! This gave her a place to assist clientele in the application of her products as well as being able to start offering permanent makeup training to both beginners and advanced artists worldwide.

One thing Agnes is well known for is her skill and expertise in her innovative and world-famous ‘3D’ Lips and ‘Frozen Lips’ makeup. Between this and countless other accomplishments, her business scaled quickly. Before she knew it, countless permanent makeup artists were waiting to learn and work for Agnes Permanent.

After many years of hard work and diligence, Agne teaches permanent makeup in several countries and has even certified some of the ‘Grand Masters’ of the permanent makeup industry. Agnes Permanent proudly boasts a clientele roster of countless well-known London influencers and Lithuanian celebrities.

Despite Covid-19 & Competition, Agne Leads The Way

When Agnes first began her quest to become a top player, it was undoubtedly challenging at times, “Initially an obstacle during my career was competition. When my career began permanent makeup wasn’t popular at that time and I didn’t have many competitors. However, today there are a lot of artists in the industry so I have to stay on top of all trends and constantly try to stand out in a crowded marketplace,” she said.

In the later years, the competition was relentless, popping up nearly overnight it seemed. Despite this, Agne believed the best way to make things happen is to put on blinders and work towards your goals non-stop without a care or concern for the odds stacked up against you. She perfected her skills and craft which lead her to go much further than she did previously when she spent so much time obsessing over the competition, she stated.

“At the end of the day, clients only care about what you can DO for the THEM.” In a world with so much noise, there is little time to listen to what everyone is doing. Agne attributes a lot of her success by eliminating distractions and focusing on the task at hand, as well as expanding her team to include other talented artists.

“After creating my team, I quickly realized that I’ve achieved a lot and I can easily work amongst some of the most talented and sought after permanent makeup specialists,” she said.

‘You don’t need to try to beat them, you need to learn from them’ Agne doesn’t feel the need to compete or feel threatened by other talented specialists. Confident and adept at her craft, she believes in keeping an open mind, learning from all different types of artists, and of course, working WITH them when the opportunity comes about.

Without warning, Covid-19 ravaged the world..

Businesses shut down, and Agne said, “Due to the lockdown we couldn’t work, so this situation was a big challenge for me, despite this, I saw an opportunity in the situation and I found a solution. I increased online training and it helped me to successfully develop my business.”

“These changes weren’t in vain, it taught me how to fully optimize my skill set and focus on what made me stick out at my craft. I expanded online training and focused on new ways to connect with students when we couldn’t physically be at the same place. In a way, it changed the way I did things and I changed for the better in many ways.”

What Was The Key To Making Agnes Permanent World-Renowned?

Without a doubt, not settling for less, and always improving is how Agne scaled her business which led to the level of the permanent makeup industry she currently finds herself at.
