Naaman Taylor: Soldier, Father, Entrepreneur. This Entrepreneur Is Proving That You Can Do It All

In a world where you can do anything, Naaman Taylor, founder of Marching Time Capital, has chosen to do it all. Before investing in real estate and building a rental car fleet, he had spent twelve years as a soldier in the US Army. During this time, he planned to retire as a soldier and had no aspirations to become an entrepreneur. In 2020, that all changed. Prompted to make a change by the world stopping due to the pandemic, he started reading financial literature and listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast. By the middle of that year, he had purchased his first property in America. Now, just a few short years later, he owns twenty-five rental units, operates a twelve-car rental fleet, and is active in building a community of real estate investors that are working to find financial freedom together.

Before launching his career as a real estate investor and an entrepreneur, Naaman found himself stationed in Germany as an active duty soldier. At the time, he was living the life of a soldier. “At the time, I was working for a living and not building a fortune. My plan was to work my twenty years and retire.” However, just like for many, his plans were changed when the covid pandemic slowed down the world. “I started listening to Bigger Pockets[a podcast about financial literature] and it really shifted my perspective.”

After listening to over 200 episodes of the podcast in just a few months, he realized it was time for him to make a decision. Nearly 5,000 miles away, he purchased his first home in America to renovate and sell. Following that, he continued to buy more properties and was able to build up . Within a year, he had purchased ten more houses.

Naaman credits his success to a dramatic change in mindset. Before listening to podcasts and learning about financial literacy, he didn’t see himself being able to build lasting wealth. “As soldiers, we kind of have the mindset of being a good person, but never really building a lot of wealth.”

As he continues to build his net worth, he is also dedicated to helping others to find financial freedom through real estate investing as well. Through his online coaching and mentorship programs, he has helped hundreds of others to start their investing journey as well.

When he is not busy working his full time job or growing his empire, he likes to dedicate time to traveling with his family and friends. “I believe everyone should travel. You can make more money, but you won’t always be able to travel and see the world.”
