This 20-Year-Old is Building A Clothing Empire

Are you an entrepreneur or aspiring to be one? Ever since childhood, Ilan Orgel has had the dream of being his own boss and starting his own company. In the summer of 2019, the 19-year-old Finance major at the University of Maryland, founded his first venture. Called Fusion100, this lifestyle clothing brand has since taken social media by storm.  With a deeper mission to inspire people to become the best version of themselves, Orgel has spotted numerous athletes and celebrities rocking his clothing. We reached out to figure out how he has accomplished all of this while studying in college.

Orgel mentioned that the three things that make his brand unique are:

Their large social media presence

Our large social media presence is a huge factor for our business. It allows us to connect with our customers and promote our products to our followers. We love seeing when customers tag us wearing our merchandise.

The quality of their products

Our products are very high quality which is a large reason why customers return after they place an order. Building customer trust is extremely important.

Their relationships with their customers and fan base

“We like to interact with our customers and get feedback on the purchases that they make. This allows us to improve our products and know which products are more liked than others.”

We interviewed Fusion100’s founder to learn more about what it’s like running a company while still in college.

Ilan told us, “Starting a clothing brand is easy, but starting a successful brand is a whole different story. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to truly execute a brand in 2020 when there is so much competition.” Ilan work’s on his business virtually every single day whether it’s for an hour or it’s a whole day’s worth of work.

Clothing brands often go in and out so we asked Orgel what his long-term vision is. He explained, “We definitely aren’t going anywhere. Fusion100 has been leveraging influencer marketing along with social media ads to boost our sales and notability across social media.”

Orgel is looking forward to launching his Fall 2020 Collection in early September. He said he plans to see his products being repped not only in the United States, but all over the world.
