Why Joseph Royal Shifted From Being A YouTuber To Making Music

Nowadays, social media and streaming platforms have become a viable source of income for people who have creative and genuine content that entertain people. And by growing their following, they have more chances of being successful in being an influencer or streamer.

Joseph Royal, a YouTuber, is familiar with how social media and streaming can be. In less than two years, he managed to grow his YouTube account to 100,000 followers.

His videos span from reactions, doing challenges, vlogs, and comedic shorts. The added variety in his content allows him to reach and entertain more people.

But being a video content creator may not be the path destined for Joseph because, eventually, he gave up his large following to pursue his dream of making music. Now, Joseph focused his time and efforts on creating music that his audience can relate to

Telling Story Through Music

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Joseph’s passion for creating music is inspired by artists in pop and R&B like Lenny Kravitz, Kanye West, and Pharell Williams. From these artists, Joseph began making music that bears his personal touch.

The YouTuber turned music artist is setting the bar higher when it comes to thought-provoking lyrics and great song arrangements. His approach to music is more direct and personal, often echoing the sound and feel of great acts from the past and the present.

“As a musician and an entertainer, most of my constituents sell lust or tell stories about how theyʼre going to gain financial wealth over their competition. Most of my music or social media videos tell a story of love, loss, or laughter,” he said.

Joseph’s target audiences are teenagers and young adults. He’s using the genres of Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, and Reggaeton to catch their attention and put his music out for everyone to enjoy.

Winning The Game Of Life

Many things motivate people to do what they have to do in life. It can be fame, fortune, or self-fulfillment. And for Joseph, it’s being able to win this thing called life, not for anybody else, but himself.

For Joseph, winning in life means that he followed his dreams and pursued his passion no matter the circumstances.

“I want to never feel like I didnʼt go for exactly what I want in this life and have regrets at the end,” he said.

With his talent in music and being knowledgeable about the content that people might want to receive, Joseph may not be far from his goal of winning.
